The hotel offers spacious rooms, great for a working stopover with a very comfy bed and plenty of tea and coffee supplies. While it was clearly in need of some renovation, it provides a good value for the price.

Rooms
8.0
The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, perfect for a working stopover. The bed was very comfy, and there were plenty of tea and coffee supplies.
Service
5.0
The staff was a mix; some were very rude and not pleasant in interactions, yet others were very friendly and helpful. The service overall was adequate.
Location
7.0
The location was nice, with frequent trains to Liverpool, and easy access to the Motorway, Chester, and other areas. However, the limited seating and low coffee tables were not practical for all guests.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was a bit of a mix as the breakfast offerings were good but not always warm enough. However, the Tuscan bread was delightful.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were adequate but could use some improvements. Room service, dry cleaning, housekeeping, and laundry were available.

7.4/10

I absolutely loved the hotel's location, being conveniently close to Chester, Liverpool, and Cheshire Oaks. The rooms were spacious, allowing for a great night's sleep with a lovely garden view and a Juliette balcony. However, the room was unfortunately very cold and had a strong damp smell lingering. Overall, the location and room views were fantastic but the room conditions could have been better.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were spacious and backed onto the fields at the rear of the hotel, providing ideal conditions for a peaceful sleep. The garden view from the Juliette balcony was lovely. However, the room was very cold with a bad damp smell.
Service
8.0
The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay enjoyable. They definitely looked after us very well. However, there were some cleanliness issues in the room that could have been improved, like dirty curtains and bed linen.
Location
8.0
I found the hotel's location very convenient for exploring Chester, Liverpool, and Cheshire Oaks, with a short 20-minute walk to the train station through charming country lanes. The surroundings were simply stunning, although the seating availability was limited and not the most practical for everyone.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The food was really nice, especially the freshly cooked items, but there were some basic items missing like white bread for toast. The cleanliness and maintenance in the dining area could have been better.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities overall were good, with room service available, but there were some maintenance issues that needed attention.

7.4/10

The hotel had clean and comfortable rooms, with friendly staff providing a lovely family vibe. The location was well looked after and charming, although some areas appeared neglected. The dining experience offered a nice selection of delicious dishes. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with a few minor downsides.

Rooms
7.0
The room was clean and comfortable, although the description of a triple room with one bed was misleading. The step down into the room and the shower's design could be a bit inconvenient.
